Sr Integration Developer - (Java e Spring boot)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Integration Developer – Java and Spring Boot based in Brazil.

Join a large-scale automation modernization program focused on transforming enterprise systems across the energy sector. In this senior engineering role, you will design and deliver secure, scalable, and reusable integrations that connect business-critical platforms, including customer portals, CRM, billing, pricing, forecasting, payment gateways, utilities, and data platforms. You will combine Java and Spring Boot development with Microsoft Azure Integration Services to build API-first, cloud-native, and event-driven solutions. Working closely with integration leadership, solution architects, data architects, business analysts, and external vendors, you will help establish reliable integration patterns across a complex technology ecosystem. The role offers an opportunity to solve challenging enterprise integration problems while contributing to a modernization initiative with significant operational impact. This is a remote opportunity requiring advanced or fluent English, which will be assessed during the interview process.

Accountabilities

• Enterprise Integration Development: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise integrations using Azure Integration Services and Java Spring Boot.

• API and Microservices Engineering: Build robust RESTful APIs and scalable microservices that enable communication between multiple enterprise applications and cloud services.

• API Management: Develop, configure, and manage APIs through Azure API Management (APIM), following established integration standards and architectural guidelines.

• Messaging and Event-Driven Architecture: Implement synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns using Azure Service Bus, including queues, topics, subscriptions, and related messaging capabilities.

• Cross-Platform Connectivity: Integrate enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, databases, external partners, and Microsoft Azure services across customer management, billing, pricing, forecasting, payments, and analytics.

• Message Processing and Orchestration: Develop message transformation, validation, routing, and orchestration capabilities, including exception handling, retry mechanisms, and dead-letter processing.

• Reusable Integration Components: Create reusable services and components that promote consistency, reliability, scalability, and maintainability across the integration landscape.

• API Security and Identity Management: Implement secure authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, JWT, Managed Identities, and other appropriate security mechanisms.

• Secrets and Credential Management: Protect application credentials, secrets, certificates, and connection information using Azure Key Vault and established security practices.

• Monitoring and Observability: Implement logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, correlation IDs, and operational telemetry to support troubleshooting and production reliability.

• Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop unit tests, automated API tests, and integration tests to validate functionality, security, resilience, and system interoperability.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with integration leads, solution architects, business analysts, data architects, and external vendors to align technical solutions with business and architectural requirements.

Requirements:

• Professional Experience: More than eight years of experience in software development and enterprise integration, with a proven ability to deliver complex integration solutions.

• Java and Spring Boot: Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and enterprise application development.

• REST APIs: Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices, including working with JSON and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.

• Azure API Management: Practical experience developing and configuring APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).

• Azure Service Bus: Hands-on experience with queues, topics, subscriptions, message processing, and enterprise messaging patterns.

• Integration Architecture: Strong understanding of synchronous, asynchronous, messaging-based, and event-driven integration patterns, including their appropriate use in enterprise environments.

• API Security: Experience implementing API authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and related security practices.

• Resilience and Error Handling: Proven ability to implement exception handling, retries, dead-letter processing, logging, and monitoring to support reliable production integrations.

• English Proficiency: Advanced or fluent English is mandatory and will be evaluated during the interview process.

• Communication and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders, coordinate with distributed teams, and contribute to shared architectural decisions.

Nice to have:

• Experience with additional Azure Integration Services, including Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Event Grid, and Event Hubs.

• Familiarity with Azure Key Vault, Microsoft Entra ID, and Managed Identities.

• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.

• Knowledge of Oracle, SQL databases, and database integration patterns.

• Experience integrating enterprise SaaS platforms and business systems, particularly CRM, billing, payments, pricing, forecasting, and data platforms.

• Background in energy and utilities or retail energy environments.

• Understanding of customer operations, energy billing, pricing, forecasting, payment systems, and energy market processes.
