Position Summary/Objective

We are currently seeking a dedicated and analytical Business Analyst to join our Shared Services Team with Service Delivery. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing reporting mechanisms, consulting on best practices, documenting vital processes, and administering essential tools and systems. This role is pivotal in aiding the development and implementation of innovative solutions to meet our business needs. The individual who fills this role will help business users develop key indicators, identify supporting datasets, and build/support repeatable dashboards and reporting mechanisms as well as service ad-hoc data requests to help in decision making, This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our processes, tools, technologies, and team are maintained and documented.

Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities

  • Reporting Development and Consulting: Design, develop, and maintain reports to support decision-making processes. Provide consulting services to internal stakeholders to understand their needs and develop reporting solutions accordingly.
  • Process Documentation: Document existing and new business processes, workflows, and systems to ensure that they are clearly understood and accessible. Maintain up-to-date documentation that can serve as a reference for the team and new hires.
  • Tools and Systems Administration: Administer critical business tools and systems. Ensure that they are optimally configured to meet the business's needs. Troubleshoot issues and work with IT and vendors to resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Solution Development and Implementation: Participate in the development and implementation of business solutions. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions are effectively integrated into existing processes and systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. Recommend and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the Shared Services Department.
  • Change Management: Develop documentation and materials to support the rollout of new and updated processes and tools both internally and externally.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within a shared services,  Professional Services, or similar environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms.
  • Experience with reporting tools and databases (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of business process documentation and improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with ERP systems and other business tools and systems is a plus.
