Position Summary
Murata Power Solutions is seeking a Graphic Designer to join the Marketing Communications team. This hands-on creative role spans social and digital content, marketing literature, photography, video, and emerging creative tools.
Graphic design is the foundation of the position. The ideal candidate has strong design sensibility, attention to detail and quality, and the energy and curiosity to learn and grow. Working with creative and art direction, this person will contribute to a broad range of marketing communications while taking ownership of assigned work and collaborating with teams across the organization.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Design and produce social/digital content and marketing literature, including brochures, product literature, datasheets, sell sheets, presentations, and related materials.
- Apply established brand standards while maintaining a high level of visual quality and consistency.
- Support recurring social and digital content, including adapting creative for different formats and channels.
- Take ownership of assigned projects, managing deadlines and proactively gathering the information, assets, and input needed to keep work moving.
- Prepare accurate, organized, and production-ready creative files and final assets.
- Support product photography, video production/editing, and motion graphics based on project needs and developing capabilities.
- Use ChatGPT and other AI-assisted creative tools thoughtfully to support writing, research, iteration, and creative development.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support creative and marketing communications projects.
Experience Required
- Approximately 2–3 years of relevant graphic design experience.
- Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, with experience creating both social/digital content and marketing literature.
- Strong design fundamentals, including typography, layout, hierarchy, composition, and brand application.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, meet deadlines, and move assigned work through completion.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to discuss creative work and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new products, technologies, tools, and creative techniques.
Photography, basic video editing, and motion graphics experience are preferred, but demonstrated aptitude and interest in developing these skills are also valued. Experience scheduling or publishing social content is a plus.
Previous power electronics experience is not required; an interest in technology and willingness to learn about the products and markets being communicated are important.
A portfolio or representative samples of design work are required for consideration.
Work Environment
This position is an on-site role, with one flex day per week of remote work.

Compensation Data
Hourly range for this role is $33.00/hr to $36.50/hr. The range listed is based on market data and internal benchmarks. Actual compensation may vary depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.
