The Turbine Manual Technical Writer will work for world-class nuclear steam turbines, which are industry-leading equipment in terms of performance, availability and power and will play a central role in the success of New projects.
Primary Activities
Scope
- The Turbine Manual Technical writer will work for world-class nuclear steam turbines, which are industry leading equipment in terms of performance, availability and power and will play a central role in mechanical engineering performance
Main Duties
- Prepare manuals for erection, operation and maintenance of the Nuclear Steam Turbines.
- Collaborate with product design teams and other external teams to maintenance standard manuals and customize project manuals.
Responsibilities
- Creation and maintenance of standardized Erection/Maintenance, Illustrations, Description manuals.
- Customize Manuals according to project specifications.
- Create turbine component illustration for all projects
- Create and sort procedurs, instructions and other support document for manuals as per product.
- Coordinate with product design teams and other externals teams working on features included in manuals.
- Adapt Erection/Maintenance manuals according to manufacturing or design changes and Directive machine residual risks.
- Collaborate with product design teams and PEMs for planning and tracking input and output for project customermized manuals.
- Ensures that Nuclear Safety Items and Activities are Identified and closely monitored.
- Participate to ITNS Gates Reviews
- Be informed and take into account the regulations inherent to the design and safe production of the products concerned and take the life cycle into account.
- Follow company EHS rules
Required Competences
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- 5 years of engineering experiences in design office or site (energy, oil & gas, aerospace, special machineries)
Behavioural and/or Technical Know-how
- Strong technical writing skills on describing activies for mechanical equipment
- Good mechanical-design fundamentals
- Knowledge of Turbine product, Generator product or other nuclear power plant equipment appreciated.
- Use of common IT tools: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
- Experienced user of advanced CAD software: Catia V5, Catia Composer
- 3DVia user (preferred)
- User of PLM software: Enovia (preferred)
- Rigorous and processes oriented.
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
- Strong autonomy.
- Decision-maker.
Language skills
- English: fluent (fluency: speaking, listening comprehension, reading, and writing.)
