The QA Technician 2 is responsible for monitoring production processes to ensure compliance with food safety, GMP policies, and customer specifications. They perform inspections of incoming goods, finished products, and equipment, while managing non-conforming items and maintaining accurate documentation.

Shift: 1st Shift
Position Type: Full Time
Schedule: 9:00 AM-7:00 PM (OT/ weekends/holidays as required)

Compensation Details:
Pay Rate: $21.50/hr
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience manufacturing environment.
- Ability and willingness to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to receive written and verbal directions.
- Ability to understand general work processes.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Working knowledge of Word in a label-making capacity.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Responsible, reliable, and attentive to timelines.
- Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Familiarity and understanding of Critical Control Points (CCPs), SOPs and Quality Standards.
- Familiarity with ingredients, processes, and finished product disposition.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bi-lingual (English, Spanish)
- Prior experience in food manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to company employee safety, food safety, and GMP policies.
- Perform monitoring checks as assigned to ensure compliance to established procedures, customer specifications and/or Work Order instructions.
- Perform incoming goods, in-process and finished product inspections in accordance with current procedures.
- Identify and report non-conforming goods or process failures to FSQA leadership.
- Perform and/or verify equipment calibration in accordance with current procedures.
- Conduct daily GMP inspections in production and warehouse areas.
- Visually inspect and test equipment and machinery post-sanitation activities.
- Assist in managing retained sample inventory.
- Monitor Critical Control Points.
- Ensure below standard raw materials and finished products are contained and removed from available inventory.
- Manage and review COA/COC for incoming goods as needed.
- Perform additional duties as requested by the FSQA Lead/Supervisor.
Physical Requirements
- Exposure to standard production environment
- Ability to lift 25 / 40 / 50 lbs
- Extended hours of standing and walking
- Ability to work in refridgerated environment.
- Normal vision, hearing sensitivity and manual dexterity is necessary in position.
