If you’re ready to join a fast-growing, high-impact company that’s reimagining resource management, then let’s talk.

About the role

Dayshape is entering an exciting phase of growth, innovation and AI-driven product development, creating an opportunity for a Product Manager to join our Scheduling team.

Scheduling sits at the heart of the Dayshape platform. This team is responsible for helping organisations match the right people to the right work at the right time, solving some of the most complex workforce planning and resource management challenges faced by professional services firms.

From Gantt experiences and scheduling workflows, through to matching algorithms, optimisation engines and agentic AI experiences, the Scheduling team plays a critical role in delivering the core value of the Dayshape product.

This is an individual contributor Product Manager role, reporting to a Group Product Manager. You will work closely with a Technical Lead, Product Designer and Engineering team to define and deliver solutions that create measurable customer value.

As a Product Manager, your stakeholders will be both internal and external. Dayshape is a single-product company, meaning Product Management works closely with Engineering, Customer Success, Professional Services, Sales, Marketing and Support to balance customer needs, technical opportunities and commercial priorities.

Externally, you'll spend significant time with customers, building deep empathy for the challenges they face. You'll lead workshops, conduct discovery, validate ideas and use evidence to shape product direction.

Whether you're helping modernise core scheduling experiences, improve matching and recommendation capabilities, or explore how AI can help automate complex scheduling decisions, you'll play a central role in defining the future of one of Dayshape's most important product areas.

What you’ll do

Strategic ownership

  • Define and evolve the product vision and roadmap for the Scheduling team.
  • Develop a deep understanding of how customers plan, schedule and allocate work across their organisations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling workflows, user experiences, optimisation capabilities and AI-assisted decision making.
  • Balance customer value, business priorities and technical constraints when making roadmap and prioritisation decisions.
  • Work with Product Leadership to translate company strategy into meaningful product outcomes.

Product discovery and customer engagement

  • Lead customer discovery activities including workshops, interviews, usability testing and research sessions.
  • Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders, understanding both their operational challenges and strategic goals.
  • Use customer insights, product telemetry and market research to identify opportunities and validate product direction.
  • Develop a deep understanding of resource management, workforce planning and scheduling challenges within professional services firms.
  • Champion customer needs throughout the product development lifecycle.

Product delivery leadership

  • Work with Engineering and Design to transform customer problems into well-defined product initiatives.
  • Define and prioritise roadmap items, epics and features for your team.
  • Partner closely with your Technical Lead and Product Designer to ensure solutions are valuable, usable, feasible and strategically aligned.
  • Guide initiatives from discovery through to launch, ensuring teams remain focused on delivering meaningful outcomes rather than outputs.
  • Support successful product launches by enabling Customer Success, Sales, Marketing and Professional Services teams.

AI and intelligent scheduling

  • Explore how AI and agentic experiences can be applied to workforce planning and scheduling problems.
  • Help shape the future of recommendation engines, optimisation workflows and intelligent scheduling capabilities.
  • Evaluate new technologies and approaches that could improve how customers make allocation and scheduling decisions.
  • Embrace an AI-first mindset, both in how we develop our product and how you work day-to-day.

Outcome and quality focus

  • Define success metrics and measure the impact of new functionality.
  • Use customer feedback, usage data and business outcomes to continuously improve the product.
  • Make informed trade-offs between short-term delivery and long-term strategic goals.
  • Recognise when functionality should be evolved, simplified or retired as customer needs change.

You're passionate about solving complex customer problems and building enterprise software that improves people's working lives. You'll thrive in this role if you:

Are technically fluent

  • Can confidently engage in conversations about software architecture, integrations, performance and technical trade-offs.
  • Don't need to be an engineer, but can ask thoughtful questions and work effectively with highly technical teams.

Working Details

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week). We typically work from 09:00 - 17:30 from Monday to Friday, though we can be flexible around this, just let us know.

We’re ideally looking for someone in/around Edinburgh, though we’re open to the possibility of this being a remote role (as long as you're in the UK). We're making the most of hybrid working, so you won't need to come into the office everyday (unless you want to!).

We don't mandate required office time, but we find that most of the team enjoy working from home 2-3 days a week, and come into our office to connect with each other, make use of space, and for meetings.

Join the team!

Equality of opportunity is more than just a responsibility: we believe it’s a huge advantage to welcome a variety of experiences and perspectives into the team. Diversity is a great asset and, as such, we strongly encourage applications from any background.

This is your opportunity to really influence how we get things done, and how our product performs. We're doing well, but there's lots more to do in order to maintain the high bar and pace that we've set.

Everyone here is growing personally as the company grows, so if that sounds like something you’d like to be part of, we’d love to see your application.  The deadline for applications is 28 August 2026, 5:00 PM GMT.

Please note the successful candidate for this role will be subject to background checks and will have an opportunity to declare anything to us beforehand.
