Zions Bancorp is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of strategic transformation initiatives within our Treasury and Payments EPMO organization. This role will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that advance the division's modernization strategy and support broader enterprise objectives.

The Project Manager is accountable for end-to-end project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, dependencies, risks, issues, governance, implementation readiness, and stakeholder communications. Working across business, product, operations, technology, risk, compliance, finance, and other enterprise functions, this individual will translate strategic objectives into executable plans and lead cross-functional teams toward successful delivery and measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex, highly visible initiatives through the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, implementation, stabilization, and closure with cross-functional teams and vendors with a strong focus on customer, banker, employee, and operational experiences
  • Translate business strategies and objectives into integrated project plans with clearly defined scope, deliverables, milestones, critical paths, dependencies, resource requirements, budgets, and success criteria.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise executive-level reporting covering project health, accomplishments, milestones, financial performance, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, trade-offs, and required leadership actions.
  • Identify, assess, document, and actively manage project risks, issues, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies related to scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, or expected outcomes.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, resource capacity, financial performance, variances, and resource plans as appropriate.
  • Maintain appropriate project artifacts, decisions, approvals, and documentation to support governance and audit requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 6+ years of progressive project management experience, preferably within banking, financial services, Treasury Management, payments, or another complex and regulated environment. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies, with the ability to adapt the delivery approach to the initiative.
  • Treasury Management, ACH, wires, apis, or real-time payment solutions within financial services is preferred.
  • Preferred Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

Location:

This position is fully in office (5 days a week) at the Zions Technology Center - 7860 South Bingham Junction Blvd, Midvale, UT 84047
