Full description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial drywall and metal framing projects from contract award through final closeout. This role is responsible for managing every phase of project execution, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and client communication, while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and other interior finish systems. You will work closely with owners, general contractors, architects, suppliers, subcontractors, and field teams to deliver successful commercial interior construction projects while maintaining strong financial performance and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and interior finish projects from contract award through final completion and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and project execution strategies.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents to verify scope and identify potential issues before construction begins.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project budgets, labor productivity, material procurement, subcontractor performance, and overall financial performance.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, pay applications, and project documentation.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor quality, safety, productivity, and schedule performance.
  • Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to minimize impacts on cost, quality, and schedule.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to clients, project stakeholders, and company leadership.
  • Coordinate punch-list completion, warranty items, final documentation, project turnover, and closeout activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, trade partners, suppliers, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • 3+ years of project management experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, commercial flooring, or related interior construction trades.
  • Commercial drywall and metal framing project management experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, procurement, and cost control.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience managing multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
