Everforth ECS is seeking a Business Analyst to work in our Stafford, VA office.
Job Description:
ECS Federal is seeking a full-time Business Analyst/Product Owner to join a team of experts charged with providing mission critical software development, and cyber-security / information assurance support to the United States Marine Corps. Support for this position is provided from ECS's Quantico Corporate Center facility in Stafford, VA and remotely.
Job Duties:
- Evaluate customer requirements and needs and implement software development strategies to achieve results.
- Prioritizing and oversee software development tasks to ensure highest value from development effort.
- Author User Stories and facilitates Work Item development.
- Lead SAFe events that include Iteration and Increment Planning, Retrospectives, and product backlog refinement.
- Lead communication effort with customer to refine requirements and needs.
- Participate in Marine Aviation Training and Readiness manual development process.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert on M-SHARP capabilities regarding Training and Readiness requirements.
- Direct and/or participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements.
- Recommend and facilitate quality improvement efforts.
- Manage daily tasking and priorities, participate in scheduled team meetings, and assess requirements for software development needs.
- Report activity weekly and monthly.
- Occasional travel (~5% travel)
Qualifications
- Expertise with USMC Aviation Training and Readiness Program, military readiness reporting and related policy and processes
- Ability to communicate effectively with military personnel, government civilian staff and technical experts
- Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Working Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
