This position is available immediately as a fully remote role in Tbilisi, Georgia.

We are a US-based fintech company currently looking for a creative Senior Back-End Software Engineer. We are looking for a bright individual who can handle the following responsibilities:

  • Develop new fintech applications and add features to existing ones;
  • Optimize code for maximum scalability and maintainability;
  • Interact with team members throughout the application life-cycle;
  • Build microservices and help design microservice infrastructure;
  • Availability on evenings for meetings and necessary communication with team members.

Requirements:

  • At least eight years of software development experience, including experience of successfully launching real-world products;
  • Strong understanding of OOP;
  • Strong knowledge of PHP (Laravel) with minimum of 5 years;
  • A strong understanding of Laravel’s Service Container, Eloquent ORM, Queues, Cache, and other related concepts.
  • Writing scalable, clean, maintainable and well documented code and applications capable of handling high loads;
  • Strong Understanding of stateless concepts;
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis);
  • Practical knowledge of distributed messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka) for inter-service communication and event streaming in microservices;
  • Strong Experience creating RESTful APIs;
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security;
  • Strong Experience building and maintaining microservices in production and designing microservice infrastructure;
  • Extensive experience using Git and GitHub;
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience utilizing authorized Enterprise AI Tools for software development, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, combined with the ability to critically review, secure, and refine AI-generated outputs;
  • Experience building MCP servers is a plus;
  • Eagerness to explore and learn new programming languages, tools, and applications;
  • Be sharp, driven and entrepreneurial;
  • Strong English communication skills;

Salary: 6500 - 9000 GEL per month, paid in USD.
