Senior Full Stack Developer (Python / React)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer (Python / React) based in Brazil.

This is a senior engineering opportunity for a developer who enjoys solving complex problems across the full technology stack. You will build and enhance scalable web applications while working with Python, Django, React, and modern API architectures. The role combines greenfield development with the evolution of an existing legacy codebase toward a more service-oriented architecture. You will contribute to location-based alerting and fleet management capabilities alongside engineers, product managers, and other technical stakeholders. Beyond implementation, you will influence architecture, code quality, testing, and development practices. The position suits an autonomous, collaborative engineer who thrives in a distributed environment and enjoys mentoring others.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance full-stack web applications using Python, Django, React, and Next.js.

• Build, integrate, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs supporting scalable application functionality.

• Develop data transformation and ETL workflows using Databricks or comparable data platforms.

• Write efficient SQL, design and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, and optimize database queries and performance.

• Develop unit tests and contribute to integration and end-to-end testing to maintain application quality and reliability.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.

• Participate in code reviews and help maintain strong standards for code quality, maintainability, and engineering best practices.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Participate in pair programming and other collaborative development practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Contribute to architectural decisions, technical designs, and the evolution of the platform toward a more service-oriented architecture.

• Support and mentor junior developers by sharing technical knowledge and development best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong experience delivering full-stack applications.

• Advanced hands-on proficiency in Python and modern frontend development with React.

• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript experience.

• Experience with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• Proven ability to build and consume RESTful APIs; GraphQL experience is an advantage.

• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills, including database schema design and query optimization.

• Solid understanding of automated testing and experience with tools such as pytest, unittest, or Jest.

• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities across the technology stack.

• Experience with Git-based version control and familiarity with CI/CD and automated build pipelines.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Comfortable working in highly collaborative environments that include pair programming and frequent technical discussions.

• Self-directed, dependable, and capable of managing priorities effectively in a fully remote setting.

• Experience with Databricks, ETL processes, geospatial data, Docker, Kubernetes, or legacy-to-microservices modernization is a plus.

• Familiarity with AI coding assistants or AI agents, as well as tools such as Jira or ServiceNow, is desirable.

• Willingness to work approximately 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST and complete background screening as required.
