OVERVIEW
Join our Data and Analytics organization to help digitally transform the Supply Chain at General Mills. As a Senior Data Analyst on the Supply Chain Data Foundations team, you will shape and advance our Supply Chain data ecosystem, building strong data foundations that enable smarter decisions, accelerate innovation, and create a sustainable competitive advantage. Blending technical expertise, analytical curiosity, and business partnership, you will work closely with Supply Chain leaders, technology peers, and global stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions. You will serve as a technical data subject matter expert — guiding best practices, mentoring analysts, and ensuring our data products are governed, reliable, and impactful.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Partner with business SMEs, Solution Managers, and technology teams to understand Supply Chain data needs and align Data Foundations with enterprise Data & Analytics strategy
- Translate business questions and requirements into clear technical specifications, delivery plans, and actionable data solutions
- Communicate timelines, priorities, and progress effectively to stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and timely delivery
- Serve as a lead analyst and mentor, providing technical guidance, coaching, and oversight to analysts across the Supply Chain Data Foundations team
- Act as the Supply Chain data SME, partnering with engineers and architects to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform
- Maintain and enhance existing data foundations with a focus on performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and long-term reliability
- Define and promote best practices in data analysis, modeling, documentation, data quality, governance, metadata, lineage, coding standards, and data security
- Use observability and monitoring tools such as Monte Carlo and Collibra to improve data reliability, consistency, and trustworthiness
- Drive innovation, automation, and AI enablement while strengthening analytical capability through knowledge-sharing and peer learning initiatives
- Support strategic priorities including sustainability reporting, digital twins, predictive analytics, and regulatory compliance through strong data models and reliable pipelines
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 10+ years of total IT/ITES experience, including at least 7 years in data analytics / data analysis roles.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of SQL (intermediate to advanced level) and hands-on experience with ETL, data modeling, and data transformation tools.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
- Business Understanding: Exposure to Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or FMCG data domains preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex ideas effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional, and multicultural environment.
- Delivery Approach: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and collaborative delivery practices.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Mindset: Positive, proactive, and self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to team success.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- FMCG / Supply Chain Exposure: Broad understanding of FMCG business processes — planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and sustainability — and how data enables business insights across these domains.
- ERP and Data Integration: Familiarity with SAP R/3, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, and ETL tools, with an understanding of foundational data models and reporting frameworks used in enterprise supply chain analytics.
- Agile / Product Delivery: Experience delivering solutions in an Agile or Scrum environment, with a focus on iterative development, stakeholder feedback, and continuous improvement.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor junior analysts, facilitate peer reviews, and promote knowledge sharing across global teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong relationship management and collaboration skills, with proven success in working with business and technical leaders across regions.
- Analytical Innovation: Interest in exploring AI, GenAI, or automation to enhance data quality, analyst productivity, and insight generation.
- Academic and Professional Excellence: Strong academic background and continuous-learner mindset, reflected through certifications, courses, or hands-on learning in emerging data technologies.
