About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our technology organization and help build, automate, secure, and operate modern cloud and data platforms.

This is a highly hands-on engineering position for someone with strong experience across AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, Databricks, cloud networking, CI/CD, Datadog, containers, and infrastructure automation.

You will collaborate with software engineering, data engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, highly available, secure, and observable technology platforms. You will also play a key role in improving engineering standards, deployment automation, platform reliability, and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, automate, and maintain scalable infrastructure within Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Deploy, operate, troubleshoot, and upgrade Amazon EKS/Kubernetes environments.
  • Develop reusable Terraform modules and manage infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Support Terraform Cloud workflows, state management, environment promotion, and infrastructure deployment pipelines.
  • Design and troubleshoot cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, DNS, load balancers, private endpoints, Transit Gateway, VPN, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Build and maintain secure, reliable CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure.
  • Support Databricks environments, jobs, workflows, deployments, cloud integrations, and data platform infrastructure.
  • Partner with data engineering teams supporting modern Lakehouse architectures and data pipelines.
  • Implement and enhance enterprise observability using Datadog, including infrastructure monitoring, APM, distributed tracing, centralized logging, dashboards, alerting, and performance monitoring.
  • Build, secure, and optimize Docker containers and container deployment processes.
  • Manage AWS services such as EKS, EC2, S3, RDS/Aurora, Lambda, ECR, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, Route 53, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, and load balancers.
  • Implement secure IAM, RBAC, secrets management, encryption, and least-privilege access controls.
  • Develop automation using Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell to eliminate repetitive operational processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues across applications, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, networking, databases, and data platforms.
  • Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and reliability improvements.
  • Develop operational documentation, standards, reusable patterns, and runbooks.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on DevOps, cloud, infrastructure, and platform engineering practices.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, or a related technical role.
  • 4+ years of hands-on AWS experience supporting enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
  • Advanced experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Strong understanding of AWS and cloud networking, including VPC architecture, routing, DNS, security groups, load balancing, private connectivity, and TLS.
  • Experience building and supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong experience with Docker and containerized applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Datadog or a comparable enterprise observability platform.
  • Experience with Git-based development and deployment workflows.
  • Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, encryption, and least-privilege principles.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex distributed applications and production infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:

  • Databricks
  • Apache Spark and Delta Lake
  • Unity Catalog
  • Databricks Workflows / Asset Bundles
  • AWS Glue
  • Kafka / Confluent
  • Terraform Cloud
  • GitHub Actions
  • Helm
  • FluxCD or Argo CD
  • GitOps
  • AWS RDS / Aurora
  • PostgreSQL / SQL Server
  • API Gateway or Kong
  • AWS Secrets Manager / KMS
  • Microsoft Entra ID or Okta
  • MLOps and ML platform engineering
  • Enterprise data and Lakehouse platforms

What Makes You Successful

You are a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and believes that infrastructure should be automated, repeatable, observable, secure, and scalable.

You are comfortable moving between writing Terraform, troubleshooting Kubernetes, investigating Datadog traces and logs, analyzing AWS networking, reviewing IAM permissions, supporting Databricks workloads, and improving CI/CD pipelines.

You take ownership of problems from initial investigation through root-cause identification and long-term resolution. You enjoy collaborating across engineering disciplines and helping teams adopt better cloud, DevOps, security, and reliability practices.

Join Our Team

This is an opportunity to work on modern cloud, application, and data platforms while helping shape the next generation of our DevOps and platform engineering capabilities.

If you are passionate about AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, automation, observability, data platforms, and building reliable enterprise systems, we encourage you to apply.
