We place specialists across everything from tech, IT and industry to project management and business support – and whatever the assignment, you have a consultant manager who is there for you and your development.

About the Role

You will shape how software delivery, traceability, and release governance work in a business-critical transformation that is moving accounting capabilities from multiple legacy platforms into a modern cloud-based solution. This is a senior role where you combine strategic ownership with hands-on technical leadership across configuration management, automation, and DevOps practices.

You will work in a large enterprise environment with several agile teams spanning architecture, integration, testing, operations, and business process development. The landscape includes complex upstream and downstream integrations, high demands on control and auditability, and a strong need for standardization across deliveries. It is an excellent opportunity if you enjoy influencing ways of working while still staying close to the technology.

Job Description

  • You will lead and coordinate configuration management activities across multiple teams and delivery streams.
  • You will establish, maintain, and improve processes, governance, and best practices for configuration management.
  • You will drive Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automation, and modern software delivery practices across the organization.
  • You will define and manage configuration baselines, versioning strategies, release management processes, and deployment frameworks.
  • You will help ensure that changes, releases, and deployments are handled in a controlled, traceable, auditable, and compliant way.
  • You will build frameworks that support teams in software configuration, deployment, and governance activities.
  • You will drive automation across build, test, release, and deployment flows.
  • You will work closely with technology teams, architecture, project management, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • You will contribute with both strategic leadership and hands-on technical guidance when needed.
  • You will promote operational excellence, standardization, and continuous improvement across the transformation program.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Software Configuration Manager, DevOps Lead, or a similar senior role.

  • Strong expertise in version control management using Git, including branching strategies, merge management, release management, and versioning best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar enterprise solutions.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, including solid programming experience with Python and Bash.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and database lifecycle management, including SQL, DDL, DML, DCL, TCL, stored procedures, triggers, database views, and constraints.
  • Experience working within large-scale integration landscapes and complex distributed systems.
