Job Description

At IPS, you will apply your knowledge, skills, and passion to make a difference in the lives of people, solving complex challenges related to pharmaceutical, biotech, and animal health research and manufacturing facilities. We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team at our officeS located in Birmingham or Manchester, UK.

Position Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates sound business sense, technical knowledge, strong leadership, organizational ability, time management, communication skills, and professional client service technique.
  • Leads project from estimate through close-out documentation.
  • Manages delivery of individual projects and holds responsibility for the achievement of cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Develops and maintains project budgets, master schedules, and procurement strategy and controls the scope, cost, schedule, cost events, and quality.
  • Oversees activities of Project Engineers, Construction Managers, and Site Superintendents on projects.
  • Effectively communicates and coordinates between design construction, compliance, client, and subcontractor personnel.
  • Manages client interaction on assigned projects and promotes positive relationships.
  • Identifies risks to the project and corporation and works with Project Executives and Director of Operations to mitigate risks.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree.
  • 10-15+ years of experience in Project Delivery or a related discipline.

Context, Environment, & Safety

  • This position will have 25% travel, or as required by the assigned project.
  • You may be assigned to the client site for an extended period.
  • Overnight travel or staying in the city of the Client’s location is possible depending on the assignment.
  • Visit construction sights and required to take site safety training and adhere to site safety rules.
  • The employee is a field contractor supervisor and acts in a supervisory role for fieldwork for IPS employees or subcontractors.

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.
