CLOUD AMAZE - Devops Cloud Engineer (Practice)

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated DevSecOps Engineer specialising in AWS cloud infrastructure and Platform Engineering. In this senior individual contributor role, you will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud platforms while embedding security practices across the entire software delivery lifecycle. You will play a pivotal role in driving DevSecOps culture across engineering teams, ensuring that security, reliability, and automation are foundational to everything we build and operate. Key Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering • Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade AWS cloud infrastructure including VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, Transit Gateway, and related services. • Architect and maintain multi-account AWS environments aligned with AWS Landing Zone and Well-Architected Framework principles. • Lead infrastructure capacity planning, cost optimisation (FinOps), and performance tuning initiatives. • Manage and improve disaster recovery, backup strategies, and high-availability architectures to meet defined RPO/RTO objectives. • Support cloud migration and modernisation programmes, transitioning legacy workloads to cloud-native architectures. Infrastructure as Code & Automation • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK, enforcing GitOps workflows and version-controlled infrastructure. • Automate operational processes including provisioning, patching, scaling, and configuration management using scripting and automation frameworks. • Build and maintain self-service platform capabilities to accelerate development team productivity.
