Full description

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to design, deliver, and maintain complete technical solutions that address specific business needs, in line with our product strategy and organisational standards.

Reporting to the Principal Architect, you will own the architectural direction for an assigned stream of value, working closely with its Head of Stream and engineering leaders across multiple teams. You will own the full lifecycle of your solution designs — from selecting the right technologies and platforms to owning the non-functional requirements that keep them scalable, secure, and reliable in production. You will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, driving decisions through to implementation while keeping the relevant stakeholders aligned.

You will contribute directly to technical strategy, championing standards across engineering, and mentoring Software Engineering Team Leads and Engineers across your portfolio.

We have fully embraced AI-based spec-driven design, integrating AI throughout the entire software development lifecycle. From specification to implementation, AI tooling shapes how we architect, build, and iterate — making us faster, more deliberate, and focused on what matters most. This isn't an experiment. It's how we work.

Responsabilities

  • Provide and maintain scalable, feasible and flexible solution designs in alignment with business requirements.
  • Select key technologies, platforms and frameworks in line with technical standards and best practices.
  • Own the solution-wide non-functional requirements — performance, security, scalability and reliability.
  • Contribute to, and advocate for, technical strategy and technical standards across the organisation.
  • Mentor and guide Software Engineering Team Leads and Engineers of all levels.
  • Convey complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Drive a culture of innovation and engineering excellence.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering and at least 2+ years of experience in solution architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Expertise in system architecture and cloud computing.
  • Expertise in software engineering and DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in AI and generative AI technologies, applied across the software development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in data architecture, AI security, and responsible AI principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking, with a deep understanding of the entire software engineering lifecycle.
  • Deep understanding of, and alignment with, the company's core business principles, goals and strategy.

Nice to have skills

  • Experience mentoring engineers at multiple levels of seniority.
  • Experience contributing to organization-wide architecture standards or governance frameworks.
  • Background working in multinational, cross-functional engineering organisations.
  • We prioritise office presence and emphasise in-person collaboration, but also offer appropriate adjustments where needed, in line with company policy. 2 days of work at home, with the possibility of working fully remote 3 months per year.
  • 29 days of holidays.

 • Pension plan and private medical insurance paid by the company.

  • Up to 3 paid volunteering days each year.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • 7 hours per day work during August.
  • 24/7 confidential Employee Assistance Programme (wellbeing, mental health, legal & financial support).
  • Learning & development support via the Frontiers Learning Hub.
