We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support business and mission analytics through quantitative and qualitative analysis, data visualization, and data-driven decision-making. This position will work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and relationships and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Tableau, Excel, and data preparation tools, along with the ability to communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to address complex business and mission questions
  • Collect, transform, manipulate, validate, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
  • Apply statistical and data-driven techniques to identify trends, patterns, relationships, and actionable insights
  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, mockups, and prototypes using Tableau and related tools
  • Use Python, SQL, Excel, and data preparation tools to clean, combine, and analyze datasets
  • Interpret data models and work across a variety of data sources and structures
  • Translate customer requirements into analytical, project, and system specifications
  • Collaborate with customers to define requirements and resolve data-related questions
  • Document analytical workflows, processes, methodologies, and results
  • Present analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Manage multiple analytical tasks independently with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications

  • Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraph
  • Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas: business analytics, statistics, data verification/validation, or data visualization
  • Experience applying qualitative and quantitative analytical methods to business problems
  • Strong experience with Tableau, including developing data visualizations
  • Experience transforming and manipulating data using Python or a similar programming language
  • Experience with SQL and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with data preparation tools such as Tableau Prep Builder
  • Experience interpreting data models and working with multiple data structures and sources
  • Experience translating customer requirements into technical or analytical specifications
  • Ability to break down ambiguous problems into actionable analytical plans
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Intelligence Community or technical mission data, including collection, processing, analysis, or dissemination
  • Experience with secure government business or mission data, applications, and database structures
  • Familiarity with established data handling procedures
  • Experience with Jupyter, Visio, SharePoint, or Confluence
  • Experience developing or working with APIs
  • Experience with GitHub or similar version control systems
  • Additional experience with Python and/or R
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
  • In lieu of a degree, four (4) years of relevant data analysis experience within the Intelligence Community or military
