Overview:

Looking for a QA leader who strives for a better-quality engineering mindset. As a Lead QA Automation Engineer at LSEG, within our FX vertical, you’ll play a pivotal role in setting the quality direction and elevating the reliability of advanced FX trading platforms and high-performance, latency-sensitive systems. You’ll lead the PriceStream QA team in Bangkok, owning the test strategy for the FX pricing and rate-streaming systems that power our multi-dealer platform, while staying hands-on in the automation.

What Awaits You:

- Own and drive the test strategy and quality roadmap for the PriceStream platform.

- Own end-to-end testing delivery across all releases, partnering with the Technical Program Manager, development lead, DevOps, infrastructure, and business teams to drive testing through to sign-off.

- Create and maintain the core test artifacts: test strategy, test plans, and test closure reports.

- Participate in production deployments and post-release validation.

- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) of production issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.

- Architect, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber-JVM, SQL, and Maven.

- Define and lead the FIX (Financial Information eXchange) protocol test strategy across pricing, quote, and order workflows.

- Lead server-side, API, and integration testing for the PriceStream platform.

- Drive infrastructure and deployment testing, including infra validation on AWS (Viking) cloud environments.

- Lead and execute comprehensive QA processes, including functional, regression, API, and database testing.

- Lead performance testing (load, stress, fault tolerance) on latency-critical pricing and distribution paths.

- Mentor and grow QA engineers, providing technical leadership, code review, and thought leadership on automation best practice.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, architects, and developers in an Agile environment, influencing design for testability.

- Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for test environment setup and automation.

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

- Champion and implement a shift left approach, embedding quality early in the development lifecycle.

Your Winning Qualities:

- 8+ years of experience in QA automation, including team or technical leadership.

- Strong knowledge of QA processes and best practices, with a track record of defining them.

- Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber-JVM, SQL, and Maven.

- Experience with API, GUI, and database testing.

- Proven experience owning testing delivery and stakeholder management across Technical Program Management, development, DevOps, infrastructure, and business teams.

- Experience authoring and maintaining test strategy, test plans, and test closure reports.

- Experience supporting production deployments and leading root cause analysis of production issues.

- Proficient with AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex), and able to champion them to enhance QA and automation productivity across the team.

- Deep hands-on experience testing the FIX (Financial Information eXchange) protocol.

- Strong server-side / backend and integration testing expertise.

- Experience leading infrastructure testing and working with AWS (Viking) cloud environments.

- Good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.

- In-depth understanding of technical architecture, test strategy implementation, and maintaining test plans.

- Proven ability to architect automation frameworks from the ground up.

- Ability to build mocks and simulator components for automation, enabling robust and isolated test environments.

- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence across teams.

What Sets You Apart:

- Experience with FIX Protocol and Kafka messaging—help us streamline complex trading workflows.

- Background in FX trading or financial technology—bring your domain expertise to the table.

- Passion for exploring new tools, frameworks, and testing strategies.

- A knack for solving tricky performance bottlenecks or debugging distributed systems.

- Curiosity about financial markets and eagerness to learn beyond your comfort zone.

- Exposure to High-Performance, Latency-Intensive Systems: Develop your skills in testing and optimizing systems where speed and performance are critical, preparing you for the most demanding technical challenges in finance.

- Become a Techno-Functional Expert: This role offers a unique blend of technical and domain knowledge, enabling you to understand both the technology stack and the business logic behind financial products. You’ll become a valuable asset with expertise that bridges the gap between technology and finance.

- Professional Growth and Learning: Collaborate with industry experts, adopt best practices, and stay updated with the latest tools and technologies in automation, cloud, and financial systems.
