Full description

Summary: As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will serve as a technical leader responsible for framework architecture, quality engineering strategy, CI/CD integration, service virtualization, and organizational quality improvements for mission critical Airline Operations applications. You will mentor engineers and drive improvements that prevent defects earlier in the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for Airline Operations applications and services
  • Develop mocks, stubs, test harnesses, and test data solutions.
  • Translate complex Airline Operations workflows into comprehensive automation strategies and end-to-end test scenarios.
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
  • Lead API, integration, end-to-end, and mobile automation strategy.
  • Drive shift-left testing initiatives and defect prevention practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex automation, framework, environment, and integration issues.
  • Work closely with Airline Operations stakeholders, Gather and analyze automation metrics specific to quality and software testing.
  • Mentor SDETs, automation engineers, QA Analysts, and development partners.
  • Partner with development, DevOps, infrastructure, product, and business stakeholders.

Minimum Experience:

Five years of software development, automation engineering, or quality engineering experience.

Prior airline industry experience with hands-on knowledge of Airline Operations is required for this position.

Experience should include developing, testing, integrating, or supporting mission-critical airline operational systems and understanding how changes or failures within one system can affect downstream operational processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong development experience with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js.
  • Strong experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Eggplant.
  • Experience with Git, Jira, qTest, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, or similar lifecycle/platform tooling.
  • Experience implementing API automation frameworks, mocks, stubs, and service virtualization.
  • Strong debugging, root cause analysis, and technical communication skills.
