Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a Network Engineer to design, plan, manage and support network infrastructure components across enterprise locations and cloud environments, ensuring security, availability and scalability of network services.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, architecture, implementation, and support of enterprise network infrastructure.
- Architect highly available, scalable, and secure network solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Implement network services according to industry best practices and standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineers.
- Administer and optimize networking components including Cisco and Aruba switches, wireless access points, VPNs, FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls, load balancers, and monitoring systems.
- Design and support enterprise wireless networks using HPE Aruba and Ubiquiti UniFi access points and controllers.
- Implement network security strategies across hybrid environments.
- Lead 24x7 monitoring strategy, incident response, and root cause analysis for network performance and outages.
- Participate in and lead critical incident troubleshooting efforts.
- Develop and enforce network engineering standards and secure interconnection practices.
- Drive automation initiatives using scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) for configuration management and monitoring.
- Own documentation of architecture, processes, standards, and change management.
Qualifications
Skills Required:
- Expert-level understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching concepts (VLANs, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VTP, EtherChannel, VRF).
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco switches (configuration, troubleshooting, high availability).
- Strong hands-on experience with Aruba switches (ArubaOS, CLI configuration, VSF/stacking, VLAN configuration).
- Strong experience with FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (VPN, IPS, SD-WAN, HA, security policies).
- Strong understanding of network security concepts and best practices.
- Experience implementing high availability, redundancy, and resilient network designs.
- Knowledge of WAF, IDS/IPS, and DDoS mitigation concepts.
- Expertise with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, Fiddler, and Nmap.
- Strong debugging skills (log analysis, packet analysis).
- Familiarity with Windows Server technologies including AD, DHCP, DNS.
- Hands-on experience with HPE Aruba wireless solutions (Aruba Controllers, Aruba Central, AP configuration, RF optimization).
- Hands-on experience with Ubiquiti UniFi Controller and Access Points deployment and troubleshooting.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Azure and AWS networking concepts (VNet/VPC, peering, NSGs, security groups).
- Automation and scripting skills (Python, Bash preferred).
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to lead initiatives and work independently.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking infrastructure design, implementation, and support.
- CCNA or CCNP certification required.
- Fortinet NSE or Aruba certifications are preferred.
