About the Role

The Project Manager, Technology Integration is responsible for the successful onsite deployment, implementation, and stabilization of technology hardware and end-user technology environments within newly acquired CPA, tax and accounting firms. This individual contributor serves as the primary technology integration resource during the acquisition process, ensuring acquired offices are fully operational, connected, and aligned with enterprise technology standards.

Working closely with Acquisitions & Development, Information Technology, Information Security and local office leadership, the Project Manager, Technology Integration supports all post-close phases of technology integration, from Day 1 readiness, hardware deployment, user enablement, and post-integration stabilization.

This role requires extensive travel and a hands-on approach to installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and coordinating technology solutions that enable associates to quickly transition into the organization's technology ecosystem while minimizing business disruption.

  • Partner with Acquisitions & Development, IT, and integration teams to assess technology environments within prospective acquisitions
  • Participate in due diligence activities related to IT
  • Document existing hardware inventories and technology risks
  • Develop technology integration plans and Day 1 readiness requirements
  • Coordinate equipment procurement and logistics activities
  • Travel onsite to newly acquired offices to execute technology integration plans
  • Coordinate and perform IT hardware deployment and installation
  • Validate connectivity to enterprise systems and applications
  • Ensure all associates have necessary access to required business platforms and collaboration tools
  • Coordinate with centralized IT support teams to resolve deployment issues
  • Verify technology environments are operational prior to business-critical activities
  • Provide hands-on technology orientation to newly acquired associates
  • Train users on: Standard hardware configurations, Collaboration tools, Communication platforms, Security requirements, Basic troubleshooting procedures
  • Serve as the primary onsite technology resource during integration activities
  • Assist associates with technology adoption and transition challenges
  • Coordinate escalation of complex issues to appropriate support teams
  • Monitor technology performance following deployment
  • Conduct follow-up assessments to ensure successful adoption
  • Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues
  • Support office leadership with technology-related operational concerns
  • Maintain issue logs and track resolution activities
  • Participate in post-acquisition review meetings and lessons learned sessions
  • Ensure all deployed technology complies with company security, compliance, and operational standards
  • Support Information Security initiatives and device governance requirements
  • Maintain documentation related to technology deployments and inventory tracking
  • Identify opportunities to improve integration processes, deployment standards, and user experience.
  • Contribute to the development of repeatable acquisition technology playbooks and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group; ability to lead in a matrix environment and at a distance (virtually)
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated decision making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated effectiveness in presenting complex information to multiple organizational levels, with strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • 3 years minimum related work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and product planning tools
  • Familiarity with Project Management methodologies
  • Track record of establishing priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a consulting environment
  • Familiarity with compliance (regulatory, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), etc.) and governance issues
  • PMP certification, or equivalent, or completed work towards PMP certification, or equivalent
  • Some tax or financial background
