Job Description

Support the evaluation and execution of M&A transactions and business development initiatives, developing market assessments, financial analyses, and valuations to inform investment decisions

Main Responsibilities

  • Screen and assess business development opportunities across Cemex’s businesses (cement, ready-mix, aggregates, and urbanization solutions)
  • Build and analyze comprehensive financial models (DCF, trading comps, transaction comps) and conduct valuation, scenario/sensitivity, and return analyses to evaluate transaction economics and support investment decisions
  • Develop investment cases by assessing risks, capital structure, funding requirements, and alignment with Cemex’s strategic and financial objectives
  • Incorporate market dynamics, competitive landscape, and industry trends to inform opportunity attractiveness and strategic fit
  • Translate analyses into actionable recommendations and develop decision-oriented materials for senior management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in M&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Development, or related areas
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-structuring skills
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • CFA certification is a plus, but not mandatory
