The Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Leader to build the partnership engineering organization. In this role, you will lead and build a new team dedicated to the technically complex work we do with our Partners, turning that work into repeatable product features.
You’ll work to scale the team as they grow, help prioritize and support work in a fast paced environment, and build a healthy team culture. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape how Mistral’s technology is adopted globally and unlock large business opportunities
What You Will Do
- Remove obstacles and create an environment where your team can focus on building solutions.
- Own the most critical partnerships of the company and what's required to make them a success.
- Translate product vision into technical reality, collaborating closely with the Product team.
- Ensure applications are performant, stable, and responsive.
- Uphold high code quality standards through reviews, testing, and automation.
- Own the full software development process, from design to deployment.
- Plan projects, including roadmaps, deadlines, and task allocation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and Design, and Partners.
- Support team growth through hiring, onboarding, and mentorship.
What We're Looking For
- Experience building and managing engineering teams.
- Proficiency in Python and at least one web framework (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
- Proficiency in C#, Golang, TypeScript and at least one web framework.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, such as Product, Design, and Business.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ownership mindset and ability to ship products end-to-end.
- Excellent communication skills and a low-ego, team-first attitude.
