We're building technology-led solutions across employee health insurance, healthcare benefits and wellness, helping companies provide a better healthcare experience to their employees. Our larger vision is to positively impact 10 million lives by FY2030.
About the role
Plum is looking for a hands-on Salesforce Administrator / Developer who can own our Salesforce org end to end. You will be the go-to person for everything Salesforce: understanding what the business needs, designing the right solution, and building it yourself using a mix of declarative tools (Flows, approval processes) and code (Apex, Lightning Web Components).
This is a high-ownership role. You will act as the architect for your solutions, make sound design decisions independently, and keep the platform clean, secure and scalable. You will also help us bring newer Salesforce capabilities such as Data Cloud (Data 360) and Agentforce into the business, and keep Salesforce working smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Solution design: Gather requirements from Sales, Support, Finance and leadership, and turn them into scalable designs. Choose the right approach (configuration, Flow, Apex or LWC) and own delivery end to end: build, test, deploy, document and support.
- Administration: Own all org configuration, including objects, fields, record types, page layouts and validation rules. Manage users, profiles, permission sets, roles and sharing; build reports and dashboards; support and train users.
- Sales Cloud: Configure and improve leads, accounts, opportunities, products, price books, quotes, forecasting and territories with sales leadership.
- Automation: Build Flows and approval processes, and migrate legacy Process Builder and Workflow Rules to Flow without overlapping automation.
- Development: Write bulkified, governor-limit-aware Apex (triggers, classes, async jobs) with 85%+ test coverage, and build reusable Lightning Web Components.
- Integrations: Build, monitor and document REST/SOAP integrations with other business systems.
- Data Cloud and Agentforce: Support Data Cloud set-up (data streams, identity resolution, segments) and help build and test Agentforce agents for sales and support use cases.
- Data, releases and governance: Keep data clean with Data Loader and duplicate rules, manage sandboxes and deployments, plan for Salesforce's three yearly releases, and uphold security and documentation standards.
Required skills and qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator and Developer.
- Complete working knowledge of Sales Cloud functionality.
- Strong experience with Salesforce Flows and approval processes; working knowledge of Process Builder and Workflow Rules, including migrating them to Flow.
- Hands-on development experience with Apex (classes, triggers, async Apex, test classes) and Lightning Web Components (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
- Proficiency in SOQL/SOSL and a strong understanding of the Salesforce data model and security/sharing model.
Familiarity with Zendesk and Zoho.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360) and Agentforce.
- Experience with data migration and bulk data tools (Data Loader, Workbench).
- Experience deploying across environments (sandboxes, change sets, Salesforce CLI, Git).
- Proven ability to understand requirements, design architecture-level solutions and deliver them independently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Salesforce certifications such as Platform Administrator, Platform Developer I, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Agentforce Specialist or Data Cloud Consultant.
- Exposure to Service Cloud, Experience Cloud or CPQ / Revenue Cloud.
- Experience with Prompt Builder, Einstein features or other AI-driven Salesforce solutions.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams or tracking work in Jira.
