Telcam is a UK-based fire and security systems company founded in 2000. It provides CCTV, intruder alarms, fire alarms, access control, and automated security solutions for commercial, residential, and public sector clients. The company is NSI Gold certified and offers installation, maintenance, and 24/7 support across England and Wales.

Job Description

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:

  • Access Control
  • Video Surveillance
  • Intruder Alarms
  • Fire Alarms

Entry Requirements

  • Full UK Drivers Licence is preferred but if you do not have, it will be required by the end of Year 1
  • Pass enhanced DBS
  • 18 + due to site restrictions
  • Electrical experience or qualifications preferred

Training to be Provided

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

You’ll train through block release at our Watford centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).

You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.

  • Complete a wide range of tasks and projects
  • Build evidence from your job to support your learning
  • Sit annual assessments at the centre
