Job vacancies: Security Engineer
As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization's IT infrastructure against cyber threats.
In this role you will,
- Collaborate with internal technology and systems teams, network teams, and other stakeholders to support cybersecurity initiatives as required;
- Design, implement, manage and support security solutions and technologies, including cloud-based platforms and SIEM systems;
- Develop standards operating procedures, and guidelines aligned with industry frameworks;
- Document all key processes, lessons learned, and find possible efficiency gains in processes;
- Assist incident response, including detecting, analyzing, and mitigating security incidents;
- Keep up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, AI/ML-driven security tools, industry trends, and best practices;
- Provide technical expertise and support for Security solutions, including integrations and scanning of the software, hardware, network/firewall and cloud-based solutions;
- Assist risk assessments and conduct vulnerability scans to identify and prioritize security risks;
- Technical assessments of systems and applications to ensure compliance with policy, standards, and regulations such as GDPR and PCI.

We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or any IT related field;
- 3 years’ working experience in a similar position or in an IT related field;
- Technical Cybersecurity Certification through one of the recognized bodies, with preference for CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or SANS GIAC; or vendor specific certifications.
OR
- An advanced Diploma in Cybersecurity or any IT related field;
- 4 years’ working experience in a similar position or in an IT related field;
A combination of education, certification or experience will also be considered.
You will be required to demonstrate:
- Hands-on experience with security tools like Firewall, IPS, SIEM (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), NextGen AV (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), EDR, and penetration testing tools (e.g., Nessus, Burp Suite);
- In-depth understanding of common network protocols, operating systems, and application architectures;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret security assessment reports;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS;
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and customization of vulnerability management processes is a plus;
- Strong skills with VMware, Microsoft, Linux and Networking preferred;
- Familiarity with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevSecOps practices is a plus;
- Data Center experience is strongly preferred but not required.
