Get to Know the Team

The FS Analytics team is the analytics and data function for Grab Financial Services which includes the Digibanks — GXS Bank (Singapore) and GX Bank (Malaysia).

You will be part of the Save & Spend (SNS) Tech Family (TF) analytics team. The TF mission is to power smarter saving, investing and spending across Southeast Asia, and to make every dollar move efficiently and work effectively for customers.

Product coverage spans Deposits, Investments, Cards (Debit and Credit), Consumer Payments, Wallet, and GrabKios / Digital Goods / Agent Network.

 

Get to Know the Role

You will use data to understand user needs and be the de-facto Voice of the Customer (users, driver-partners, merchants, agents) across the Save and Spend TF suite of products. You will use data to unveil insights to help launch, improve and scale our products. You will champion data-driven decision-making within Grab Financial Services and partner with Product Managers, Business Owners, UX Designers, Marketing and Engineers to design analytical solutions that drive the Product roadmap. You will provide thought leadership and generate data-driven hypotheses to solve key Product and Business problems, and drive our Financial Services strategies forward. You will report into Senior Analytics Manager, Financial Services and work onsite in the Grab One North office.

 

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • You will partner with product, design, and engineering teams to derive insights, design experiments, and drive key product decisions.
  • You will support strategic plans with data insights, performing deep-dives into user behaviour, segmented views and product efficacy.
  • You will provide tailored analysis for specific products and strategies, define critical business and product metrics, and make regular recommendations for continuous improvements.
  • You will design, measure, and recommend A/B tests and multivariate experiments, including layout optimisation, UI/UX efficacy, algorithm effectiveness, and API performance.
  • You will analyse clickstream and transactional data to uncover insights on user behaviour and drive product metrics. You will manage instrumentation for all feature releases within assigned PST.
  • You will develop self-serve solutions for stakeholders that are scalable and automated to handle a product environment. You will drive plans involving Large Language Models or Generative Artificial Intelligence.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • You have at least 4 years of experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Science, in a Tech (FinTech or E-Commerce) company or Financial Institution.
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
  • You are proficient in writing advanced SQL queries and querying large relational databases.
  • You have hands-on experience with data analysis and programming tools such as Python or R.
  • You have skill in data visualisation platforms like Tableau or PowerBI or D3.js to present findings.
  • You have experience designing, running, and analysing A/B tests and product experiments, with knowledge of hypothesis testing and the basic principles of Design of Experiments (DoE).
