Data Analyst

Location: Gdańsk, Łódź, or Warsaw (Hybrid model, 25% remote)

Salary: Up to 130 PLN/h net + VAT (B2B)

About the role:

We are Optiveum, and we are looking for an expert-level Data Analyst to join our client—a prominent organization in the financial services sector operating with a collaborative, Scandinavian work culture. In this role, you will support a critical GKYC (Global Know Your Customer) program by delivering high-quality data analytics, design, and development.

Please note: Optiveum is the recruitment and contracting party for this role. You will sign your B2B cooperation agreement directly with us, and we will support you throughout the entire duration of the project.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supporting the critical GKYC program to deliver data analytics, design, and development.
  • Working closely with multiple business areas and key business leads across IT, Architecture, Financial Crime, Compliance, Legal, and the Business to implement changes.
  • Producing high-quality work in a professional, organized, and structured manner, always striving to find the best solutions for the organization.
  • Navigating a fast-paced project environment with changing priorities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data management, data quality, or a related role (preferably within the financial services industry).
  • Expertise in advanced SQL, Python, R, Java, and Scala.
  • Familiarity with data taxonomy and the ability to build small data models.
  • Experience with Power BI to produce clear, actionable reports.
  • Background in financial crime (AML/CTF, KYC, Transaction Monitoring, and Sanctions).
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Capacity to work independently and as a strong team player.
  • Fluency in English (speaking and writing).

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and methodologies.
  • Experience with data migration and data integration projects.
