Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Sales Engineer, W&WW, ANZ to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development
- Maintain regular contact with water authorities and their consulting engineers so WMFTS products are specified in operations, standards and asset renewal programmes.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by pursuing new business.
- Increase market share by replacing competitor pump installations.
- Develop proposals for transitioning clients to our products for lime slurry, sludge and dosing
duties through process optimisation and de-bottlenecking.
- Engage consulting engineers, EPCs, contractors and integrators early in the design phase
to have WMFTS technologies written into project specifications and tender documents.
- Track municipal capital programmes and framework/panel agreements across Australia and New Zealand, managing multi-year pursuit cycles from concept design through to order.
Customer & Account Management
- Grow the spare parts and replacement pump business, and oversee service programmeson delivered projects.
- Conduct regular on-site audits at water and wastewater treatment plants across Australia and New Zealand to secure ongoing spare parts and service contracts.
- Build relationships with Operations, Process and Maintenance personnel at plant level, and with project and design leads at consultancies and contractors.
Sales Planning & Reporting
- Develop and execute call plans and visit cycles covering existing and target accounts.
- Keep the CRM updated with accurate customer data, interactions and opportunities.
- Keep the Sector Manager informed of competitor activity.
Customer Support & Training
- Run customer training sessions and presentations, on-site and remotely.
- Provide technical support that optimises pump and system performance.
Quality & Compliance
- Work in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System.
Skills/Experience: Interpersonal Interaction Requirements:
- Skilled negotiator to achieve sales targets.
- Works effectively with colleagues, distributors and customers to deliver results.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 5–8 years’ experience in water and wastewater sector sales or capital project sales
- Mechanical / technical sales experience, with proven ability to influence specifications through consultants and contractors
- Experience in process engineering, with working knowledge of dosing, sludge and slurry applications
- Fluent English, written and spoken.

Computer competencies required for this position
- Competent in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, and able to analyse and present data in Excel.
- Experience working with a CRM system.

Specific requirements for completing essential functions of the position:
- Willing to travel regularly across Australia and New Zealand, and occasionally further afield.
- Current driver’s licence and valid passport required.
