About Skyscanner
Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges ✈️. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 160 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily 💻.
Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all 🌍.
Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? 💪 Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here)
About the role
(Hybrid)
We’re looking for a talented, hands-on Senior Visual Designer to join our world-class Brand Studio — a merry band of Creative Directors, Designers, Copywriters, Motion Designers and Design Ops specialists united by one goal: making work people actually want to look at.
You’ll combine big-picture conceptual thinking with exceptional visual craft, helping shape how Skyscanner shows up everywhere from TikTok and Instagram to YouTube, OOH and beyond. It’s a chance to influence the visual expression of a global travel brand, with ambitious briefs, healthy budgets and plenty of room for ideas to take flight.
You can be based in Barcelona, London or Edinburgh, where we adopt a hybrid working policy of working in the office twice a week.
What you'll be doing
• Creating work that turns heads: You’ll concept and craft distinctive, engaging creative across digital, social, print, OOH and experiential channels — making sure Skyscanner never fades into the background.
• Bringing big ideas to life: You’ll take concepts from the first scribble to beautifully executed final work, using our Visual Design System while knowing when and how to push it somewhere new.
• Shaping our visual expression: You’ll help evolve how Skyscanner looks and feels globally, balancing timeless design principles with what’s happening right now in design, technology and culture.
• Concepting campaigns that travel: You’ll collaborate with our creative team and partners across the business to develop global campaigns and projects that work brilliantly across markets and channels.
• Sweating the right details: You’ll bring serious craft to everything you touch, from art direction and typography to layout and execution — because the tiny details can make a very big difference.
About you
• A world-class creative: You’ve got 7 years of client-side or agency experience and a portfolio packed with beautifully crafted, original work that makes us wish we’d thought of it first.
• Conceptual and hands-on: You can move effortlessly between art direction, big-picture thinking and getting stuck into the design yourself — no disappearing once the mood board is approved.
• Craft obsessed: You have an exceptional eye for detail, strong design fundamentals and a genuine curiosity about culture, trends and where visual creativity is heading next.
• Fluent in the tools: You’re highly proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma, comfortable with the latest AI tools, and After Effects experience gets you bonus points.
• A brilliant teammate: You’re collaborative, self-motivated and organised, with strong prioritisation skills and a genuine interest in mentoring others — while still believing your best work is ahead of you.
