The Role:

As an Engineering Project Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technology initiatives that support Clear Street’s global growth strategy. You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Business, Operations, and senior stakeholders to drive execution across multiple teams, ensure alignment on priorities, manage dependencies, and provide clear visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes. This role requires a strong combination of project management discipline, technical fluency, business judgment, and stakeholder management. You will help teams translate strategic objectives into executable plans, remove blockers, improve delivery processes, and ensure that critical initiatives are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end oversight for the delivery of complex, large-scale engineering and business initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Business, and Operations teams to define deliverables, timelines, ownership, and execution plans.
  • Break down complex projects into clear phases, milestones, dependencies, and workstreams.
  • Prioritize the program roadmap to ensure teams are focused on the highest-impact work.
  • Balance speed of delivery with strategic business goals, technical quality, and operational readiness.
  • Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies early, and bring the right stakeholders together to resolve them.
  • Provide consistent, transparent updates to stakeholders on progress, risks, decisions, and outcomes.
  • Produce insights, analysis, and recommendations to improve delivery processes, team efficiency, and project execution.
  • Experience in financial services, capital markets, brokerage, clearing, custody, or prime brokerage.
  • Domain knowledge across front office, middle office, back office, and post-trade workflows.

Experience/Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in project management, technical project management, change management, operational excellence, or a related discipline.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives across Engineering, Product, Business, and Operations teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects with multiple workstreams, dependencies, stakeholders, and delivery timelines.
  • Strong ability to translate strategic business goals into structured execution plans, milestones, risks, and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience reporting progress, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to anticipate dependencies, identify blockers, and keep teams focused on the highest-impact priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive clarity and accountability in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to pre-empt issues and bring the right people together to resolve them quickly.
