ECL-IPS are a specialised UK security, fire, and monitoring systems provider based in Worcestershire. They design, install, and maintain advanced electronic security solutions—including high-resolution CCTV, access control, and server room environment monitoring.
Due to continued business growth, they are now looking to recruit TWO brand new apprentice fire and security engineers to join their team! This vacancy is aiming to recruit for Skills for Security's October learner launch.
Job Description
As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:
- Access Control
- Video Surveillance
- Intruder Alarms
- Fire Alarms
The salary is negotiable at interview stage, depending on experience.
Entry Requirements
- Willing and able to pass an enhanced DBS background check as part of the recruitment process
- MUST hold a driving license due to the travel requirements of the role
- Willing to work an occasional overnight stay, this will not be on a regular basis, but from time to time certain projects may require an overnight stay. Overnight pay would apply.
- Eager to learn more about the wider fire and security industry
- Excellent customer service and teamworking skills
- Experience with power tools, or electrics, would be highly desirable
- Basic IT knowledge
Training to be Provided
This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.
Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.
You’ll train through block release at our Walsall centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).
You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
