About the Role
Staritas is seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to join our growing Technology team. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions that support our healthcare technology platforms and business operations. You will work closely with Software Engineering, Product, Analytics, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, secure, accessible, and positioned to drive informed decision-making across the organization.

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Build and support data integrations across internal and external systems.
- Develop and maintain data warehouses, data marts, and data models to support reporting and analytics.
- Ensure the quality, integrity, consistency, and availability of enterprise data assets.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate data solutions into applications and products.
- Partner with business and analytics teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement data validation, monitoring, and quality assurance processes.
- Support data governance, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to data architecture, tools, and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, data integration, database development, or a related discipline.
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, or business intelligence solutions.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within healthcare technology, healthcare analytics, healthcare data, or other regulated industries.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience supporting large-scale data warehousing and analytics environments.
- Knowledge of data governance, master data management, and data quality frameworks.
- Relevant cloud, data engineering, or database certifications.
Technical Skills
- Advanced SQL and database development knowledge.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools, workflow automation, and data orchestration platforms.
- Experience with technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar solutions.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or other programming languages used for data engineering.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and modern data architecture principles.
- Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and file-based data exchange methods.
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of data security, privacy, and access management practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Travel
Up to 10% travel, based on business needs. While our roles are 100% remote, we do get together a few times a year for up to one week. Employees are given ample notice and attendance is expected.
Work Environment
This position operates primarily in a remote work environment and requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing work at a desk or workstation. The employee must be able to operate standard office equipment, including a computer, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and telephone.
The role also requires the ability to occasionally move throughout a workspace to access files, office equipment, and work-related materials. Effective communication, both written and verbal, is essential for interacting with employees, clients, and stakeholders.

Pay Transparency Statement
Staritas posts compensation ranges and benefits for all open roles. The base compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation offered will depend on factors including experience, skills, geographic location, and internal equity.
