In the role of Payroll System Administrator, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. You will ensure stable payroll system operations, accurate data flows, and quality outcomes that enable timely payroll and financial reporting.
The Team you will be part of: At our global HQ, located in Ballerup, Denmark, you will join the Payroll Team – part of Group Accounting - which handles payroll processing for the entire GN Group’s workforce in Denmark.
Reporting to Senior Manager, Head of Group Accounting, you will be the go-to person for the daily administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of our payroll system landscape.
We are a skilled, engaged, and supportive team characterized by solid expertise, knowledge sharing, and an open, light-hearted tone. We aspire to continuously optimize and improve how we work, while delivering quality outcomes together. We collaborate closely with Group Accounting, Finance, P&C (i.e. HR), and DDI (i.e.IT).
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:
- Take ownership of payroll processing for approximately 900 employees in Denmark
- Manage financial posting in D365 and reconciliations in Excel
- Administrate employee absence registration in Workday and Lessor Løn
- Manage industrial collective agreements
- Work with various projects within the payroll area
- Manage sickness and maternity/parental leave reimbursements, including posting of these, and advising employees on our parental leave processes
To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:
- Bring solid relevant experience administering payroll or HR systems in a medium-sized or larger organisation; it is beneficial to have experience with Workday, Lessor Løn, and D365 Finance
- Have experience with payroll for a larger workforce — e.g. across multiple subsidiaries - covering payroll practices, collective agreements, and absence processes, and are proficient with Excel or similar tools
- Work with high standards for quality, planning, organizing, and ensure clear documentation
- Are service-minded and can navigate easily among many stakeholders - and proactively seek clarification and sparring when needed
- Collaborate well across Accounting, Finance, HR, IT, and external vendors, and are proficient in Danish and English
As part of our Global Group Accounting team, it is important that you can adapt to a changing global work environment with shifting priorities. This also means that our monthly-, quarterly-, and year-end payroll, accounting-, and financial cycles are our peak work periods.
At GN we pride ourselves on encouraging flexible work whenever possible. We trust our people to fulfill their responsibilities, to know when in-person collaboration is better than hybrid, and to be present when it's needed most.
