The Bowen Group, a GTSC company, is a values-led, industry leader in telehealth, strategic communications, and wellness services and staffing, has an outstanding opportunity for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our team supporting the Administrative Office of The U.S. Courts.

Position Overview

The Property, Printing, and Distribution Branch (PPD) is responsible for producing high-quality publications, official judicial branch communications, formal reports, and day-to-day visual materials that support the Judiciary's mission of public service, transparency, and institutional integrity with daily operational graphic design across a broad range of product types, including production continuity materials, official publications, judicial forms, wayfinding signage, infographics, presentation templates, internal memoranda, and supporting materials for senior leadership briefings.

Responsibilities

Produce graphic design deliverables including, but not limited to:

  • Flyers, infographics, forms, charts
  • Presentation materials
  • Template-based layouts
  • Routine visual products

All outputs shall comply with AO branding and formatting standards.

Quality Standards Responsibilities

The Administrative Office Of The U.S. Courts (AO) has high standards and quality expectations:

  • Provide consistent, AO Style Manual–compliant graphic design support for the Property, Printing, and Distribution Branch's daily operational needs, ensuring all design products reflect the AO's institutional identity and professional standards.
  • Maintain visual continuity for ongoing publications, forms, presentations, and internal communications by applying established templates, layouts, and branding guidelines accurately and consistently across all deliverables.
  • Support PPD production continuity by performing template-based layout tasks and file preparation activities that enable the Branch to sustain uninterrupted design production output during staffing gaps or surge periods.
  • Organize, label, and maintain the Branch's digital asset library in accordance with AO file naming conventions, approved folder structures, and metadata standards, ensuring assets are accessible, current, and properly categorized.
  • Apply basic Section 508 accessibility tagging to documents and digital files as directed, supporting AO's commitment to equitable access for all users of its communications and information products.
  • Produce accurate, polished deliverables within established turnaround timelines and quality standards, meeting or exceeding the Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs) defined in Section 6 of this SOW.
  • Assist senior graphic design staff with production tasks, file handoffs, design revisions, and template development as directed, contributing to the overall efficiency and output capacity of the Property, Printing, and Distribution Branch.
  • Ensure all work products reflect AO's branding identity as prescribed in the current edition of the AO Style Manual, including approved typography, color systems, logo treatments, and document structure standards.

Work Environment

  • Fully onsite within the Administrative Office of The U.S. Courts, Washington, DC.
  • Occasional surge workload tied to major events or campaigns.
