Solutions Architect / Pre-Sales - Data & AI

As a Solutions Architect / Pre-Sales – Data & AI, you will provide technical and solution design expertise to support enterprise sales opportunities and client engagements. You will translate business and technology requirements into scalable, technically feasible and commercially viable data and AI solutions, working closely with Sales, Consulting and Delivery teams to support business development and successful client engagements.

What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed

Pre-Sales and Client Engagement

• Partner with Business Relationship Managers and Sales teams to support new client acquisition, account expansion and business development opportunities.
• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand client objectives, existing technology environments and solution requirements.
• Conduct solution presentations, technical workshops and demonstrations to communicate proposed approaches and business value.
• Provide technical advisory support throughout the sales cycle, from opportunity qualification and proposal development through to deal closure.

Data and AI Solution Architecture

• Design scalable, secure and cost-effective data and AI solutions aligned with client requirements and enterprise architecture standards.
• Develop high-level architectures covering data integration, data engineering, cloud data platforms, analytics, business intelligence and AI capabilities.
• Evaluate technology options and recommend suitable platforms, tools and architecture approaches based on business and technical requirements.
• Assess existing client environments and identify opportunities for data modernisation, automation, advanced analytics and AI adoption.
• Produce solution diagrams, technical specifications and architecture documentation to support client engagements and proposals.

Proposal Development and Commercial Support

• Support the development of technical proposals, RFP/RFI responses and solution presentations for qualified sales opportunities.
• Work with Sales and Delivery teams to define technically feasible and commercially viable solutions.
• Support solution scoping, resource estimation and technical assumptions to ensure proposals are aligned with client requirements and delivery capabilities.
• Contribute to successful deal conversion through timely, accurate solution designs, technical proposals and client presentations.

Solution Governance and Delivery Collaboration

• Collaborate with Delivery teams to validate proposed architectures, implementation approaches and resource requirements.
• Ensure proposed solutions align with Thakral One's technical capabilities, delivery capacity and service offerings.
• Support the transition of approved solutions from Pre-Sales to Delivery through technical handovers and knowledge transfer.
• Stay current with developments in data platforms, cloud technologies, AI and enterprise architecture to support solution innovation and business growth.

We'd Love to Hear From You If...

Experience

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline.
• You have at least 7 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, cloud solutions or enterprise technology consulting, including relevant solution design or pre-sales responsibilities.
• You have proven experience designing and presenting enterprise data and analytics solutions to business and technical stakeholders.
• You have experience supporting technical proposals, RFP/RFI responses, solution estimations and client presentations.
• Experience in IT consulting, professional services or enterprise technology solutions is preferred.

Technical Expertise

• You have a strong understanding of modern data architectures, data integration, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, data lakes and cloud-based data platforms.
• You have working knowledge of AI/ML and Generative AI solutions, including enterprise use cases, integration considerations and implementation approaches.
• You have experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, and relevant data technologies.
• You understand enterprise data platforms, cloud technologies, solution architecture, technical scoping and estimation.
• Relevant cloud, data or solution architecture certifications are advantageous.
