The Medpace Data & Analytics team is growing and is focused on building a data-driven culture across the enterprise. We leverage our business acumen and technical expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable analytics solutions that transform raw data into trusted, actionable business insights. Our work spans enterprise data modeling, semantic layer development, data warehousing, and self-service analytics, enabling strategic decision-making and supporting business growth across Medpace.

Responsibilities

What is the role?

We are seeking an Experienced Analytics Engineer to strengthen our growing Data & Analytics team by designing and delivering scalable data models, semantic layers, and analytics-ready datasets that drive reporting, self-service analytics, and operational decision-making across the enterprise.

This role serves as a bridge between data engineering, business stakeholders, and analytics consumers. The ideal candidate will be lead transformation of complex business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring data quality, consistency, performance, and governance. This individual will help establish analytics engineering standards, coach & mentor team members, and drive organizational value in our data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or a related data-focused discipline
  • Strong expertise in data modeling, dimensional modeling, and semantic layer design
  • Proven experience developing & leading development of business-friendly semantic models and enterprise data structures
  • Experience with Microsoft BI technologies and modern data platforms like Snowflake
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience implementing analytics engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, version control, and deployment processes
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks
  • Experience mentoring analysts, engineers, or junior team members
