About Cronos Europa

Cronos Europa is a leading IT and digital transformation partner dedicated exclusively to European Institutions and agencies, delivering mission‑critical solutions that shape Europe's digital future. As part of the Cronos Group, one of the most innovative and fastest‑growing tech ecosystems in Europe, we benefit from a vast pool of expertise and cutting‑edge capabilities. With over 1,000 specialists across Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, we combine deep institutional knowledge with strong engineering excellence to support long‑term, high‑impact EU programmes requiring reliability, scalability, and innovation.

About The Job

We are looking for a full-time Technical Bid Writer (Medior level) who brings proven exposure to competitive bidding environments and public sector tenders. In this cross-functional role, you will collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Pre-sales managers to transform complex technical, operational, and architectural concepts into clear, structured, and winning tender proposals. You will bring a strategic mindset to every response, linking technical features directly to client value and tender scoring mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proposal & Narrative Development: Draft, structure, and refine high-quality technical proposals, case studies, Statement of Works (SoWs), and Call for Tender (CfT) responses that directly address evaluation criteria.
  • Cross-Functional Knowledge Gathering: Act as a bridge between Solution Architects, engineering teams, and Pre-sales; extract operational knowledge and translate technical details into benefit-oriented narratives.
  • Strategic Value & Win Themes: Co-develop solution narratives that weave in strategic "win themes", highlight Cronos Europa differentiators, and align with specific buyer scoring frameworks.
  • Content Structuring & Quality: Ensure all technical documentation meets the highest standards for clarity, logical flow, narrative coherence, tone, and brand alignment.
  • Standards & Compliance Alignment: Ensure technical descriptions embed governance, security, and operational standards (e.g., ISO, GDPR, NIS2, DORA, ITIL) in line with institutional expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively contribute to internal templates, modular content libraries, and reusable knowledge assets to accelerate future bid writing.

Profile Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Technical Writer, Bid Writer, or Pre-sales Writer within competitive tender or IT solutioning environments (EU institutions / public sector exposure strongly preferred).
  • Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Ability to see the bigger picture, understand client pain points, and write value-driven, persuasive narratives rather than purely dry technical documentation.
  • Fast Learner & Adaptable: Quick to absorb operational realities and technical architectures across diverse IT domains with a strong appetite for continuous learning.
  • Technical Literacy: Comfortable understanding IT infrastructures, cloud solutions, service delivery models, and regulatory frameworks (ISO 9001/27001, NIS2, DORA, ITIL).
  • Editorial & Language Excellence: Native-level or flawless professional written English, with a talent for simplifying complexity into clear text and structured diagrams.
  • Tools: Advanced proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
