Ultimate Peaks is seeking a strategic and dynamic Head of Software Engineering to lead our software development teams and drive the successful delivery of innovative technology solutions. The Head of Software Engineering will oversee the full software development lifecycle, foster a culture of technical excellence, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
In this leadership role, you will collaborate closely with product management, design, and operations teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software products that meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a talented team of software engineers across multiple projects.
- Define and implement software engineering best practices, development methodologies, and quality standards.
- Drive architectural decisions and ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of software solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and delivery milestones to ensure on-time project completion.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in software engineering with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in modern software development technologies, programming languages, and frameworks.
- Experience leading Agile teams and implementing Agile/Scrum processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across teams and with stakeholders.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3-5 years in software engineering leadership roles such as Team Lead, Engineering Manager, or Head of Engineering.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
