QVine, an SAIC company is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, overseeing project development while contributing to the development and maintenance of cloud-based applications and/or services. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing code, architecting infrastructure, and guiding a team toward delivering reliable, scalable solutions.
This position is located in Reston, VA and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps engineers and developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and drive development and infrastructure projects from inception through delivery, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business goals.
- Web Application Development: Contribute to and oversee the design, development, and deployment of web applications using modern frameworks and best practices.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud environments across AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and implement infrastructure automation using Terraform and Packer, promoting reproducible, version-controlled infrastructure deployments.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build and maintain robust continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to streamline code deployment and reduce release cycles.
- Security & Compliance: Collaborate with cybersecurity team to embed best practices into the DevOps lifecycle, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation.
