Onsite – Buffalo, NYThe Business Analyst supports the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of enterprise applications used across the business. Working closely with business stakeholders, senior analysts, and the Production Engineering & Resilience team, this role assists with application support, business process analysis, requirements documentation, testing, and issue resolution.
This position is ideal for an early-career professional seeking to build expertise in business systems, manufacturing processes, ERP platforms, and application support. The successful candidate will develop hands-on experience in problem solving, business analysis, incident management, and stakeholder engagement while contributing to the reliability and improvement of critical business applications.
To be considered for the Business Analyst role, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you:
- Two (2) or more years of experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Application Support, IT Support, or related role; internships and co-op experience may be considered.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic understanding of business processes, information systems, or enterprise applications.
- Interest in manufacturing operations, production processes, or business systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Awareness of data handling and export control requirements (e.g., ITAR, CMMC) appropriate to a regulated aerospace and defense manufacturing environment.
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, or equivalent platforms.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment through employment, internship, or academic projects.
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies and defect tracking tools.
- Exposure to IT service management, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), or ITIL concepts.
- Experience with business process mapping or requirements documentation.
- Knowledge of reporting and data analysis tools such as Power BI, SQL, or similar technologies.
As a Business Analyst, you will:
- Assist in analyzing business processes and system workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Document business requirements, process flows, work instructions, and system procedures
- Support the creation and maintenance of business and technical documentation.
- Participate in data validation and basic data analysis activities to support troubleshooting and decision making.
- Provide first-level support for assigned enterprise applications by investigating user questions and system issues.
- Assist with testing activities, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements for enhancements and process improvements.
- Support backlog management activities by tracking enhancement requests, defects, and user feedback.
- Partner with business users to understand operational needs and support system-related requests.
- Assist with incident resolution by identifying symptoms, gathering data, and coordinating with technical teams.
- Participate in root cause analysis activities for recurring issues and operational problems.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, and future-state platform initiatives.
- Assist with data validation, cutover preparation, user support, and post-deployment activities.
- Participate in knowledge transfer activities between project teams and operations teams.

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $70,000.00–$90,000.00 Annually Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
