Senior Azure Cloud Platform Engineer (Azure, Terraform, Power BI)

Join a high-impact cloud transformation journey in the insurance sector for our client. Leverage Azure, automation, and analytics technologies to help build and support robust enterprise platforms designed for scale and performance.

What is in it for you:

  • Salaried: $50-55 per hour.
  • Incorporated Business Rate: $60-65 per hour.
  • 6-month contract.
  • Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
  • Hybrid work, with 3 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and data platform services.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Support and optimize Power BI platform environments.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams on scalable and cost-effective architectures.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues and provide operational support.

What you will need to succeed:

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on Azure cloud engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, and API Management.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure networking, including VNets, Private Endpoints, NSGs, and DNS.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Experience with Jenkins, GitHub, and GitHub Actions for source control and CI/CD.
  • Power BI platform administration and deployment experience.
  • Knowledge of data engineering fundamentals, including pipelines, data lakes, and ingestion patterns.

Preferred qualifications

  • Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or DP-203.
  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and cost governance.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
