Position Overview

Kiewit Technology Group (KTG) is seeking a Product Manager – Recruit to Retire to help shape and advance the technology platforms that support Kiewit employees throughout the employee lifecycle.

As part of the Payroll, Benefits & HXM Product Team, you will be responsible for several products across areas such as payroll, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, and human experience management. You will serve as a key connection point between business stakeholders, users, and technology teams—turning business needs and opportunities into clear product priorities and executable solutions.

This role combines product strategy with hands-on execution. You will help establish product vision and roadmaps, manage and prioritize backlogs, define requirements, evaluate solutions, and guide features from idea through delivery and adoption. Success requires an ability to understand the big picture while working through the details necessary to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

The Product Manager reports to the Recruit to Retire Portfolio Manager, does not have any direct reports and works closely with Kiewit Technology Group (KTG), Kiewit Data Services (KDS), Delivery, Integrations, Architecture, project and field teams, and Home Office departments to create connected, consistent employee experiences across the enterprise.

Location

This position is a full time in office role based on our LaVista, NE campus. The role requires regular and reliable attendance, professional communication and collaboration within team environments, and occasional evening or weekend availability based on business or implementation needs.

Responsibilities

  • Own your product space. Serve as a subject matter expert and primary product contact for assigned solutions within the Recruit to Retire portfolio, including payroll, benefits, and HR/HXM products.
  • Shape product strategy. Partner with product teams and stakeholders to define product vision, strategic direction, growth opportunities, lifecycle plans, and long-term technology roadmaps.
  • Represent the customer. Develop a deep understanding of stakeholder and user needs and ensure their perspectives are represented throughout product planning and delivery.
  • Turn needs into solutions. Identify business problems and opportunities, evaluate potential solutions, and translate requirements into clear features, user stories, and actionable work.
  • Guide work from idea to delivery. Manage product ideation and intake, refine features and stories, support estimation and planning, and validate completed work against agreed-upon outcomes.
  • Use data to drive decisions. Leverage data and analytics to identify business challenges, evaluate opportunities, measure success, and inform product priorities.
  • Build alignment. Facilitate productive conversations across business and technology teams, navigate competing priorities, and build consensus around decisions and direction.
  • Partner across technology. Work closely with Delivery, Integrations, Architecture, Data Services, and other product teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and broader portfolio strategy.
  • Manage expectations and commitments. Establish clarity around priorities, scope, timing, dependencies, and tradeoffs while ensuring stakeholders understand what is being delivered and why.
  • Communicate with impact. Provide clear, concise updates on product progress, decisions, dependencies, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and leaders at all levels.
  • Champion strong product practices. Apply modern product management, project delivery, governance, and quality practices to continuously improve how products are planned, delivered, and supported.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience working with SAP and/or SAP SuccessFactors, with experience across several employee lifecycle areas such as payroll, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or in a comparable product leadership role within a complex technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of product management practices, including product strategy, roadmap development, backlog management, requirements definition, prioritization, and delivery.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements and communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to navigate difficult conversations and competing priorities.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to identify dependencies, evaluate tradeoffs, anticipate risks, and drive issues toward resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities while maintaining focus on quality and business outcomes.
  • A proactive, ownership-oriented approach with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective partnerships across business and technology teams.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in construction, engineering, or related industries.
  • Product management or product ownership experience in a large, technology-driven organization.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Experience supporting enterprise HR, payroll, benefits, or employee-experience platforms. #LI-AK1
