Network Operations Engineer (BAU)

The Role

We are looking for a skilled Network Operations Engineer to deliver advanced day-to-day network operations support within a complex, enterprise-scale environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of network services, handling complex incidents, and contributing to continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced operational support for network infrastructure, acting as a key escalation point for complex incidents and issues
  • Analyse, diagnose, and resolve network incidents in a timely manner, minimising impact on business operations
  • Perform operational maintenance activities including routine checks, configuration updates, and performance monitoring
  • Support the implementation of network changes, ensuring adherence to change management processes and minimising operational risk
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across a range of network components including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Contribute to service stability and performance improvement initiatives through proactive monitoring and root cause analysis
  • Document operational procedures, incident reports, and resolution steps to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

Profile

  • Solid experience in network operations within enterprise or managed services environments
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco technologies across routing, switching, and network management
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve complex network incidents under pressure
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based service management practices and change management processes
  • Analytical mindset with a structured approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Fluent in English ; German is a strong advantage
