- Drive mechatronic and hardware specification, including component selection for vision sensors, auxiliaries, illuminators, Lidars, and industrial computers.
- Own vendor and supplier relationships, managing technical negotiations and procurement for hardware integration.
- Oversee execution across the entire system stack: hardware design, edge AI, cloud infrastructure, and user-facing web dashboards.
Project Delivery & Field Execution
- Serve as the main technical bridge for end-customers, driving clear communication, documentation, project scoping, and deployment planning.
- Lead field testing, roadside commissioning, and real-time operational feedback loops to continually elevate system performance in complex real-world environments.
- Develop training materials and onboard internal personnel and external partners on system installation and commissioning.
Team Leadership & Operations:
- Run daily stand-ups and monthly product reviews to align cross-functional engineering teams around execution targets.
- Serve as the internal and external go-to subject matter expert for all things iVOD, mentoring team members as the product line expands.
- Support executive leadership in drafting technical grant applications, progress reports, and RFP/RFI responses.

- Solid industry experience in one of these domains: intelligent transportation systems (ITS), robotics, automotive or embedded systems
- Experience with Python or similar programming languages
- Systems Engineering knowledge and technical documentation, and experience working with suppliers and integrators
- Field engineering experience (including installation of components) or experience running mechatronic demos in front of customers/clients (beyond internal lab tests)
- Leadership and project management capabilities
- Strategic Planning and Operational Execution Skills
- Collaborative and Strong Communication Skills
- Open to travelling for work (minimum 4 weeks per year)
