Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and translating business requirements into actionable solutions, driving process improvements, and ensuring successful delivery of business and technology initiatives.
This is a client-facing onsite role requiring strong stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, challenges, and operational requirements.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with cross-functional teams.
- Create and maintain business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases.
- Translate business needs into detailed requirements for development and technical teams.
- Partner with Product Managers, Architects, Developers, QA, and Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform gap analysis, root cause analysis, and impact assessments.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and recommend optimized business workflows.
- Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and stakeholder reviews.
- Coordinate UAT activities, validate delivered solutions, and ensure alignment with business expectations.
- Track project progress, identify risks, and communicate status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Facilitate change management, user adoption, and training efforts where required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Experience working within Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Proficiency in creating user stories, process maps, workflow diagrams, and business cases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across business and technology functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Retail, Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, E-commerce, or Digital Transformation programs.
- Certification such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile/Scrum certifications.
- Exposure to data analysis, reporting, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and enterprise applications.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration
Minimum Compensation: USD 56,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 196,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.

This position is available for independent contractors
