Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the development, optimization, and qualification of manufacturing processes on both assembly and test
- Drive improvements in yield, quality, process capability, productivity and cost through data-driven problem solving
- Manage product transfer, equipment commissioning, process validation, and production ramp-up activities
- Lead root-cause investigations and preventive/corrective actions for process defects, reliability concerns, and manufacturing issues
- Manage, develop, and mentor process engineers and technicians with close stakeholder coordination like Product Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Quality, Operations and global technical teams
Education & Experience
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferably Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical
- With 5+ years of experience in semiconductor, laser, photonics or optoelectronics manufacturing
- At least 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams with expertise in process development, qualification, yield improvement, and production ramp-up; Lean Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
Skills
- Demonstrates deep knowledge and broad experience in manufacturing processes for both assembly and testing such as die attach, thermal cycling, burn-in, test, etc
- Strong skills in process development, qualification, validation, SPC, DOE, PFMEA, GR&R, and capability analysis
- Proven ability to lead root-cause analysis, yield improvement, defect reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Effective leadership, team development, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong business judgment, technical communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder-management competencies
Working Conditions
- This role is 100% onsite. This will require working inside the cleanroom.
