SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead critical infrastructure initiatives within the IT Services sector. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for architecting, securing, and optimizing complex deployment pipelines and containerized environments. Your expertise will ensure the reliability and scalability of our systems, bridging the gap between development and operations while maintaining the highest standards of security and efficiency in both cloud and on-premises settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust GitOps workflows utilizing tools such as Argo CD or Flux to automate application delivery.

• Enforce rigorous security protocols and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) within Kubernetes clusters.

• Execute secure deployment strategies in isolated environments, including air-gapped configurations.

• Orchestrate advanced release patterns, such as blue-green and canary deployments, to minimize downtime and risk.

• Manage cluster configurations using Kustomize and oversee service mesh implementations for enhanced traffic management.

• Deploy and maintain Kubernetes environments on bare metal, on-premises servers, and via management tools like kubeadm or RKE2.

• Oversee Linux system administration tasks and manage intricate networking requirements across distributed systems.

• Administer high-availability databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Apache Cassandra, ensuring data integrity and performance.

• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and Bash scripting.

• Lead continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) operations while providing expert-level troubleshooting for complex technical issues.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in IT Services, with a strong focus on DevOps practices.

• Proven proficiency in GitOps methodologies and specific tools like Argo CD or Flux.

• Deep expertise in Kubernetes security models, RBAC implementation, and container hardening.

• Hands-on experience managing deployments in air-gapped networks and executing blue-green or canary release strategies.

• Skilled in Kustomize for configuration management and service mesh technologies.

• Extensive background in deploying Kubernetes on on-premises infrastructure, bare metal, and using kubeadm or RKE2.

• Strong command of Linux administration and advanced networking concepts.

• Demonstrated ability to administer PostgreSQL and Apache Cassandra databases.

• Competence in automation and infrastructure management using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and Bash.

• Advanced troubleshooting capabilities within CI/CD pipelines and complex distributed systems.
