Network Administrator

VQ OrthoCare | Full-time | Vista CA | Onsite

Pay range: [APPROVED MINIMUM-MAXIMUM AND HOURLY OR ANNUAL BASIS]

We are seeking a hands-on Network Administrator to support our networks, servers, and employees while improving security, reliability, and recovery readiness.

Reporting to the IT Director, you will work across infrastructure and user support in a small IT team. This role offers direct ownership of technical problems and opportunities to improve how our systems operate.

What you will do

  • Administer LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, switches, and remote connectivity; troubleshoot outages and coordinate with service providers.
  • Maintain Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Hyper-V, and shared storage; perform preventive maintenance and upgrades.
  • Monitor backups, resolve failures, test restores, and keep disaster recovery procedures current.
  • Monitor application and SQL databases and respond to alerts
  • Manage network accounts, MFA, email security, endpoint protection, domain and SSL certificates, and renewals; respond to security alerts.
  • Support cloud phone system, laptops, desktops, and business applications; own tickets through resolution and keep users informed.
  • Document configurations and changes, identify recurring problems, and help deliver infrastructure and business-system projects.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of hands-on network and systems administration experience, including support for multiple locations or remote employees.
  • Practical networking and troubleshooting skills, plus experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, backup and restore, and user support.
  • Strong follow-through, clear communication, sound prioritization, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team.
  • Relevant training or equivalent practical experience. A degree is welcome but not required.

Preferred: 5+ years of experience; Cisco Meraki, Hyper-V, Synology, Barracuda, 8x8, Microsoft 365, On-Prem Exchange Server and Exchange Online; scripting or cloud administration; healthcare industry experience. You do not need experience with every preferred product to apply.

Schedule and benefits

Schedule: 8am – 5pm. After-hours maintenance and emergency support: On-call. Anticipated travel: 5-10%.
